Zcash activated the NU7 upgrade on its public test network ahead of schedule, reducing the targeted interval between transaction blocks from 75 seconds to 25 seconds. The public trial precedes a planned November rollout. Developers will review test results and decide on mainnet activation Oct. 20. Holders of funds in Sprout must move those funds before the upgrade to retain access through the existing system.
