Mark Zuckerberg’s fortune climbed sharply in September 2026 as Meta’s share price rallied on enthusiasm surrounding the company’s new Muse artificial intelligence products.

Meta shares jumped almost 12 percent in one trading session after investor optimism, app-store momentum and a higher price target from Wells Fargo. The gain added roughly $25 billion to estimates of Zuckerberg’s net worth, taking it to about $254 billion at the time.

A further rise later in the week pushed estimates near $257 billion and moved the Meta co-founder ahead of Google co-founder Sergey Brin in major billionaire rankings, placing Zuckerberg fifth in the world.

These wealth figures are estimates rather than cash in a bank account. Most of Zuckerberg’s fortune is tied to his ownership of Meta shares, so the total can move by billions of dollars whenever the company’s stock rises or falls.
