September has closed and Bitcoin enters October with a much stronger setup than it had a few months ago.

BTC gained more than 40% during Q3 while U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs attracted around $2.65B in net inflows during September. Institutional demand is clearly still present.

But October may not be a straight-line rally.

The biggest catalyst to watch is the Federal Reserve. Softer U.S. inflation has reduced expectations for another rate hike which could support Bitcoin and other risk assets. However elevated Treasury yields and inflation risks could quickly bring selling pressure back. The next major Fed meeting is scheduled for October 27–28.

There is also a major difference from last year.

October 2025 delivered one of crypto’s biggest liquidation events ever. More than $19B in leveraged positions were wiped out after a sudden macro shock triggered a massive cascade.

This year the market has stronger institutional participation improving ETF demand and a more developed regulatory environment. The SEC has also proposed new crypto custody rules while the U.S. Treasury is implementing the GENIUS Act’s stablecoin framework.

So what is my October view?

📈 BULLISH CASE: If ETF inflows remain strong Fed expectations become more dovish and BTC holds its key support zone Bitcoin could challenge the $90K area and potentially continue higher.

⚠️ BEARISH CASE: If ETF inflows slow Treasury yields rise or leverage builds too quickly October could produce a sharp liquidation before the next major move.

🎯 MY TAKE: October looks more like a high volatility accumulation/breakout month than an easy Uptober.

The key is not predicting every candle.

Watch: • BTC ETF flows • U.S. inflation data • Fed comments • Treasury yields • BTC leverage & open interest • BTC support/resistance • Stablecoin liquidity

One thing is certain: October 2026 could be one of the most important months of Q4 for crypto.

🚨 Don’t chase the pump. Watch the liquidity.
