Oracle said it is integrating with the Swift blockchain ledger to let financial institutions take part in payment flows coordinated through the ledger and use their tokenized deposit infrastructure for cross-institution payments. According to Foresight News, the integration will allow financial institutions to add interoperable tokenized deposit functions to existing payment services and manage traditional payments and digital asset payments under a unified operating model.
Oracle said it will provide a pre-integrated solution for access to the Swift ledger through Oracle Blockchain Platform and Oracle Digital Assets Data Nexus. The setup can host Swift commitment contracts and provide EVM-based enterprise blockchain capabilities, custodial wallets, signing, and smart contracts. Oracle Banking Payments will connect these digital asset processes with existing ISO 20022 payment processing systems so payments and tokenized deposit business can run within the same payment lifecycle.
