Bitget to Resume Withdrawals in Phases Starting September 28, Says Security Vulnerability Fixed
Bitget said it has identified and fixed the vulnerability linked to the security incident on September 24 and will begin restoring withdrawal services in phases after completing final security checks.
According to the recovery plan, withdrawals will resume at 15:00 Vietnam time on each scheduled date:
Bitcoin (BTC): September 28Ethereum (ETH): September 29USDT: September 30Other tokens, fiat currencies, and P2P services: October 2
Bitget said user account balances were not affected and that its Protection Fund will absorb the full financial impact of the incident.
While withdrawals remain temporarily suspended, trading and deposits continue to operate normally. Mandiant and SlowMist are assisting Bitget with the ongoing investigation and security review.
The latest announcement marks a key step in Bitget’s recovery following the attack, in which approximately $387.5 million worth of assets were identified as having been transferred to addresses controlled by the attackers.
