Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said North Korean hackers may be behind the exchange’s $351.6 million security breach, citing IP addresses linked to VPNs previously used by a North Korean group. She said the attack appeared similar to past DPRK-linked crypto hacks and was likely not an inside job.
Chen said hackers transferred funds directly from parts of Bitget’s hot and warm wallet systems without accessing cold-wallet private keys or forging user withdrawals. Investigators are still determining how the attackers gained access. Some stolen funds have reportedly been recovered, while Bitget works with blockchain partners to recover the rest.$NVDAB $NVDA.US $GOOGL.US #FedProposesRulesForBankIssuedStablecoins #FedOctoberRateHikeOddsRiseTo69.7%
