$HYPE is sitting near the highs, but the interesting part is what’s happening underneath.
HYPE pushed to a new ATH around $96 yesterday and is still holding near $94 today.
The move isn't coming out of nowhere.
Hyperliquid recently added manual borrowing, allowing users to borrow USDC or USDT against HYPE and BTC. Then Kraken’s parent company announced plans to bring regulated U.S. perpetual futures to Hyperliquid, pending approval.
That’s a pretty meaningful development for the chain.
But at these levels, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some profit-taking.
HYPE is already up around 20% over the last week, and only about 26% of the maximum supply is currently circulating.
BTC is around $85K-$86K, so the broader market is helping the move too.
For HYPE, I’m more interested in whether it can build above the $90 area than whether it prints another new high tomorrow.
