According to Wallstreetcn, ASML Executive Vice President of Global Public Affairs Frank Heemskerk said the company is not currently selling any chip-making equipment in Europe because of a lack of investment and no new chip factories there. He said the European Union is revising its Chips Act, which was originally intended to raise Europe's share of global chip production but has failed to effectively spur investment in new chip plants. He also said other countries are courting ASML with government funding and incentives to develop their domestic semiconductor industries.
