The more I follow the RWA sector, the more I realize that tokenization is only the beginning.
Putting a real-world asset onchain is one step.
The bigger challenge is building an ecosystem where that asset can actually be used.
That means liquidity, financial applications, accessibility, and — most importantly — real demand.
Recent developments around Plume are interesting to watch because its ecosystem is moving toward different forms of onchain RWA products and institutional access.
For me, the question is no longer:
“Will RWA become a big narrative?”
The better question is:
“Can RWA become a useful part of everyday onchain finance?”
That answer will probably depend on what happens next.
