Binance Wallet announced on X that security firms recently reported the iOS app FomoPeek, versions 1.1 to 1.2, contained malicious code capable of stealing sensitive information, including wallet private keys stored locally on users’ devices. The report said the incident led to asset losses for some users and drew broad community attention, prompting related user inquiries to Binance. Binance said that, at this time, it has not identified any related stolen funds flowing into its platform, and it has not received reports of Binance users suffering asset losses as a result of the incident. The company said safeguarding user assets remains its top priority and that it will continue monitoring relevant fund movements through on-chain monitoring and other risk control measures.

Binance Wallet said that if related funds are later found to involve Binance, or if there are indications that such funds may flow into Binance’s platform or services, it will actively support relevant investigations and response efforts. The company also said it will continue working closely with security partners such as SlowMist to assist in tracking related risks and help protect user assets within its capabilities. Binance added that it will keep monitoring developments tied to the incident. The statement ended with the phrase “Stay SAFU.”
