A crypto wallet does not store your coins in the same way a physical wallet stores cash. It protects the private keys that control access to assets recorded on a blockchain.

That makes the recovery phrase critical. Anyone who obtains it may be able to access the wallet, while losing it can make recovery impossible. Keep it offline, never share it, and be cautious with links or apps asking you to enter it.
