In the last couple of weeks his allied groups finally reserved about $140M in ads and other spending.
Next week he is at the UN and hosting Xi, so the campaign trail waits.
But.. he is not on the ballot, and there is no extra term coming.
The thing he has to protect is the story that the war was required and that it worked.
