#BTCBreaks80K
BTC just broke the $80K barrier again, but the real signal is what happens after the breakout.
Bitcoin pushed above $80,000 on September 18, reaching around $80,587 in morning trading and gaining more than 5% from the previous close.
What makes this move interesting is the leverage flush behind it. Around $183M in BTC short positions were liquidated within an hour, adding fuel to the upside move. At the same time, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly saw about $160M in net inflows, suggesting fresh demand was also present.
My take: $80K is now the level I would watch closely. A sustained hold above it would show that the breakout is gaining acceptance. A quick rejection back below $80K would tell a different story and could signal that the move was driven more by short covering than sustained spot demand.
For now, I would watch volume, ETF flows, open interest and liquidity around $80K before chasing the move.
Do you think BTC can turn $80K into solid support?
