one thing i find interesting about $DIA’s staking APY recalibration is what it says about where the network is heading.

the 30% Genesis APY was designed to bootstrap early participation and build the initial staking base.

it was never supposed to be permanent.

a year later, millions of DIA are staked and independent Feeders are actively supporting oracle operations.

so the move toward a lower, sustainable APY makes sense.

the bigger story isn't really “rewards went from 30% to ~5–6%.”

it's the transition from paying people to bootstrap a network → using staking as part of the infrastructure securing that network.

as DIA develops performance-based rewards, delegation and slashing, that relationship between $DIA and oracle security should become even more important.

high APY can attract participants.

sustainable utility is what matters long term.
