CLARITY ACT
VOTE TODAY — U.S. SENATE FACES A DEFINING TEST FOR CRYPTO REGULATION

The U.S. Senate is officially scheduled to hold a procedural cloture vote on the Digital Asset Market
CLARITY Act
at approximately 2:15 PM ET today, September 15.

The measure needs 60 votes to advance. The official Senate schedule confirms the vote, while Reuters reports that the outcome remains uncertain despite last-minute revisions designed to attract additional support.

The revised bill now includes new ethics restrictions covering federal elected officials, judges and their spouses, alongside changes addressing stablecoins, consumer protections and digital-asset market structure. President Trump agreed to the new ethics provisions after conflicts involving political officials' crypto interests became a major negotiating obstacle.

This vote matters because CLARITY would establish a comprehensive U.S. framework defining how digital assets are regulated and clarify the respective roles of the SEC and CFTC.

Market significance: A successful cloture vote would not make CLARITY law today — but it would clear a critical Senate hurdle and materially improve the legislation's path forward.

A failure would leave the bill facing an increasingly difficult legislative calendar.

For crypto, this is one of the most important regulatory votes of 2026.
