The United States and China are discussing sharp tariff cuts on some goods, including U.S. energy and agricultural shipments, ahead of a leaders' meeting expected next week, according to Ming Pao.

Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, reported that the two sides are also considering extending a one-year trade truce.
