Circle has decided to take over Tazapay, one of the main B2B cross-border payments companies in Singapore, a deal which should be concluded by 2027 if all the necessary regulatory authorizations are obtained.
In fact, Tazapay deals with annualized payment volumes exceeding $25 billion, operates with a wide network of 60+ banking and fintech partners, and supports local payout channels in more than 100 countries.
Some 60% of Tazapay's transaction volume already uses stablecoins, and That's why, providing to Circle more means of digital asset integration of local banking & payment infrastructure.
Circle might benefit from the deal to enhance their cross-border payment operations and to spread stablecoin-based settlement across the Asia-Pacific and emerging markets areas where they are not yet very active.
