A $BTC Investor Lost $2.1M After Following a ChatGPT Link 🥴 After asking ChatGPT where he could swap sFLR for WFLR, the user opened a link from ChatGPT’s response and landed on what looked like a legitimate swap site. There, he connected his wallet and signed a transaction - but that was the trap.ʼ The transaction was an unlimited token approval, giving the malicious contract permission to move funds from his wallet. Seconds later, the attacker used that permission to drain roughly 1.9M FXRP worth about $2.1M 🚨 The stolen funds were then moved across several wallets: 🌊 FLR converted into $DAI 🌊 part of the DAI converted into ETH 🌊 some ETH sent through Tornado Cash 🌊 other funds remained spread across multiple addresses Of course technically, ChatGPT didn’t hack the wallet, but led the victim to the phishing site. Always verify the domain yourself, and check exactly what your wallet is asking you to approve before signing. #Macro Insights# #AI
