U.S. Bitcoin ETFs just posted their strongest session in nearly 8 months then NFP dragged price back under 80k.
Data (SoSoValue, Sep 3): spot $BTC ETFs took in $731 million, the largest haul since Jan 14. BlackRock’s IBIT about $454 million. ARKB $138 million. FBTC $74 million. Group net assets ~$103 billion.
Today (Sep 4): August NFP +162,000 jobs (est. 56,000). Odds of a Fed hike back around 70%. BTC spiked to 82,300 then slipped to 79,324. $ETH 2,453. $BNB 714.5. $XRP 1.40 the steepest drop from the day’s high.
What it means: ETF flows show institutions still buying the reclaim of 80k. The jobs blowout is a reminder that macro can slap risk-on in a few hours. The two forces are pulling opposite ways.
My take: I’m not chasing the 82k high, and I’m not going all-in on a single ETF session. Wait to see if the 4H holds or loses the 79k zone before acting.
