🥇 Gold slips, 🥈 Silver holds as oil spike + Fed-hike odds crush risk appetite

Spot XAU $4,446.50 (−0.18%) | XAG $66.36 (+0.16%) late Monday

⚔️ US–Iran escalation (Hormuz strikes) sent oil higher — Brent back above $90. That + hawkish Warsh/Jackson Hole shock pushed Sep hike odds to 66% and 10Y yield to 4.75%. Equities closed lower (SPX −0.3%, Dow −0.7%).

Gold: defensive. Held $4,395.80 low, recovered toward $4,452–$4,487 but still below MAs & 61.8% Fib. Next upside $4,487 → $4,515 / $4,543. Break $4,396 opens $4,341 / $4,319.

Silver: rebound from $65.51, tagged ~$67.60 then faded. Needs $66.87 then $67.47 / $68.16. Support $65.67 → $62.98.
Tug-of-war: geo + fiscal risk limits downside, but higher oil/yields cap rallies. Buyers still appear on dips.
