Bitcoin Spot ETFs End 9-Day Inflow Streak
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have ended a powerful nine-session inflow streak, recording approximately $201.8 million in net outflows on August 28. The reversal came after the funds attracted more than $3 billion in cumulative inflows over the previous nine trading sessions.
The outflows coincided with Bitcoin falling below the $78,000 level. ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF led withdrawals with about $114.9 million, while Bitwise’s BITB saw nearly $49.7 million leave the fund and BlackRock’s IBIT recorded roughly $33.4 million in outflows. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT was the only fund among those reported to register an inflow, at approximately $9.3 million.
Despite the one-day reversal, Bitcoin ETF flows remained positive for August, with roughly $3.3 billion in monthly net inflows reported. This suggests that institutional demand has remained relatively strong even as investors take profits or reduce exposure during periods of price weakness.
The key question for the market now is whether the latest outflow represents a temporary pause after a major buying run or the beginning of a broader shift in institutional sentiment. Bitcoin’s ability to stabilize above key support levels could play an important role in determining the direction of ETF flows in the coming sessions.$NVDAB $AAPL.US
