I used to think RWA adoption was mostly about getting an asset tokenized.

Looking deeper at Dusk and NPEX changed that view.

The harder problem is everything around the token: who can invest, how ownership is transferred, how trading happens, what must be disclosed, and how settlement is completed.

That’s where Dusk Trade becomes interesting.

Dusk describes it as the application layer for tokenized financial assets, built around workflows such as investor onboarding, wallet binding, controlled transfers, payment coordination and compliant settlement.

NPEX brings something a blockchain alone cannot simply manufacture: regulated market infrastructure and experience operating a Dutch MTF. The collaboration is therefore less about “putting securities on a blockchain” and more about connecting tokenization with an existing regulated market workflow. ([Dusk][2])

This is where it gets interesting.

Tokenization can coordinate ownership and settlement, but it doesn't automatically create liquidity, buyers, sellers, fair pricing, custody or regulatory accountability.

Dusk itself now makes this limitation explicit in its RWA research.

So the real question isn't whether NPEX + Dusk can put assets on chain.

It is whether blockchain infrastructure can reduce enough friction across the entire regulated market lifecycle to justify changing how these markets operate.

That’s the part of Dusk’s RWA strategy I’d watch most closely.
