Trump Media interim CEO Kevin McGurn defended the company’s sale of priority access to President Donald Trump’s Truth Social posts. According to Sina Finance, he said on Squawk Box that about 15 customers have signed up for the expensive and controversial Truth API service, up from more than 10 agreements disclosed two weeks earlier.
McGurn said the service, which charges as much as $100,000 per month, went live on August 1. Critics have said it gives well-funded institutions access to market-moving information before the general public. Trump is a major shareholder of Trump Media and Technology Group, with his stake held in a revocable trust.
