Been around the RWA space for a while, and one thing keeps bugging me: most projects just wrap an asset and slap a token on top. The real asset was issued somewhere else, on-chain trading happens, but everything else — issuance, compliance, settlement — still sits stuck in the old system.

Dusk's case looked a bit different to me. NPEX — an exchange regulated by the AFM, licensed as MTF + Broker + ECSP — talking about bringing EUR 300M+ on-chain isn't just about trading. It's native issuance. The asset's life starts on-chain, settles there, and Dusk Trade as a neobroker brings it to retail.

What stood out as rare to me is the DuskEVM + Hedger combination: developers get the same familiar Solidity path, plus ZK-based programmable privacy — what needs to be visible stays visible, the rest stays shut. Most chains are either fully transparent or fully private, the middle ground is hard to find.

And being regulatory-first isn't a small thing either. How many RWA projects come in with a licensed EU partner from day one? Not many. That alone brings the execution risk down a notch for me.

But it all reads well on paper — the real test is when volume and real users show up. Watching for now.
