#dusk $DUSK @Dusk

I keep thinking Dusk is easier to understand backwards: start with the transaction financial markets need, then ask why a public chain struggles.

That’s where the privacy angle makes sense. Dusk is building around shielded transfers, ZK contracts and controlled disclosure. Recent work on Dusk Connect and a new wallet also tackles the less glamorous part: letting applications actually use those rails.

I’ve seen privacy chains struggle when the use case stayed abstract. The harder test is whether an institution can keep sensitive details private while still proving what needs to be proved. That is more practical than simply hiding transactions.

I’m skeptical about adoption. Better infrastructure does not create users by itself, and Dusk still has engineering work ahead. But that’s what I’m watching: the plumbing, not the narrative. If Dusk makes privacy an invisible property of useful financial infrastructure, that will tell me far more than another privacy pitch.
