heres what it covers. is this person permitted to hold this specific instrument. not are they a real person, thats KYC and its a different question
Uhm, eligibility is narrower. some regulated securities can only be held by professional investors. some are restricted by jurisdiction. some have minimum ticket sizes written into the offering....
none of that is about fraud. its about whether the law lets you own the thing
which is why it cant be one KYC box ticked once and forgoten. different assets different rules, same investor
