#termmax @TermMax
Last night, I decided to dive deeper into TermMax, specifically their Gearing Tokens (GT) system. Most protocols offer a single answer to the question "how to open a leveraged position?", forcing the user to manually execute dozens of transactions, shifting collateral from one protocol to another. TermMax, however, packs all this complexity into a single token 🧐.
I like the depth of their internal architecture: GT is essentially an NFT container (ERC-721 standard) that already contains all the leverage and borrowing logic. This is important because in traditional DeFi, creating a "loop" eats up a ton of gas and carries the risk of slippage at every stage. Here, you simply buy a token, and the protocol automatically creates the necessary exposure through flash loans in a single click. But I also think this automation is a double-edged sword. Simplifying entry can create a false sense of security for newcomers, when in reality, the risks of liquidation are still there, simply hidden behind a sleek interface.
In the process of reflecting on these questions, I found myself wondering: is simplifying complex strategies to the purchase of a single token really the path to mass adoption, or are Dusk and TermMax simply building a "sterile" environment for those unwilling to understand how money works? Are we willing to trust our assets to algorithms that hide all the mechanics behind the scenes, or is manual control over every step more reliable than any automation in critical financial matters?
