Everyone tells you to "cut losses fast." Nobody tells you that's how you get farmed.

Here's the trade nobody wants to admit: the traders who actually make it aren't the ones who exit at the first red candle. They're the ones who had a thesis before they entered, so a dip doesn't scare them out of a good position.

Stop-losses aren't discipline. They're often just fear wearing a strategy costume.

The real skill isn't cutting losses fast. It's knowing the difference between "I was wrong" and "the market is just being the market." Most people never learn that difference, so they get shaken out right before the move they were waiting for.
Ask yourself before every exit: am I leaving because my thesis broke, or because I got scared?
If you can't answer that honestly, you don't have a strategy. You have a slot machine.
