Why Fixed-Rate DeFi Could Matter More Than We Think 🚀

DeFi has come a long way, but one challenge has always remained: uncertainty around interest rates.

Floating rates can change quickly depending on market demand and liquidity. That can make it difficult for both lenders and borrowers to plan their strategies.

This is where TermMax caught my attention. 👀

TermMax is focused on a different approach: fixed-rate borrowing and lending.

The idea is simple:

🔹 Know the borrowing cost upfront

🔹 Have clearer expectations for lending returns

🔹 Plan strategies around a defined rate and term

🔹 Use capital more efficiently

🔹 Keep the experience on-chain and transparent

For me, the interesting part isn't simply “fixed rates.”

It's the possibility of making DeFi financial products more predictable and easier to plan around.

Imagine being able to build a DeFi strategy without constantly worrying about where the lending or borrowing rate will move next.

That's the kind of infrastructure I think could become increasingly important as DeFi matures.

TermMax is definitely a project I'm watching closely, especially with its upcoming $TMX TGE on August 25.

But as always, I'm researching rather than blindly following the hype.

What do you prefer?

👉 Fixed-rate DeFi for predictability

or

👉 Floating-rate DeFi for flexibility?
