If a network has two layers, how does your money get from one to the other?
I mean.... this is the boring question that decides whether people actually use a stack or just read about it.
DUSK pays for execution on both sides. Its the gas token on DuskEVM, and it moves between the Dusk L1 and DuskEVM through a bridge.
The lifecycle underneath is a rollup one. Your transaction goes to the DuskEVM sequencer, gets included in an L2 block, then a batcher publishes the data down to DuskDS, and state commitments connect the result back to settlement.
Uhm, and heres the bit worth actually remembering. Inclusion and settlement are diferent stages. The docs say plainly not to infer finality from how much time has passed, and to check protocol or wallet status instead....
Thats good advice generally. Waiting felt like enough is how people lose money on every rollup, not just this one.
Bridge guide is in the docs under Manage DUSK if your moving anything 🚀
