The more I look into Dusk the more I realize I was thinking about blockchain privacy too narrowly.
For me, the bigger question is: what happens when regulated financial assets, securities, and RWAs actually move on chain?
Not every piece of financial information should be visible to everyone.
That’s why Dusk’s approach stands out to me. It’s a privacy-focused Layer 1 built around regulated on-chain finance, combining privacy, compliance, and deterministic settlement rather than treating them as separate problems.
What I find especially interesting is the use of zero knowledge technology and confidential transactions. The goal isn’t simply to hide information it’s to keep sensitive details private while still allowing authorized parties to verify what matters.
And that becomes increasingly important as tokenized assets and securities move closer to real on chain infrastructure.
My bigger takeaway is simple
Privacy + Compliance + RWA + On-chain Finance
I don’t think privacy should be something institutions add after adopting blockchain.
If blockchain is going to support serious financial infrastructure, privacy needs to be built into that infrastructure from the beginning.
