Solana ($SOL) is showing early signs of a potential recovery, but the market has not yet delivered the confirmation bulls are waiting for.
After a prolonged decline, SOL has recently stabilized and moved higher, with the price trading around the mid-$70s. Recent technical analysis points to several improving signals, including a TD Sequential buy signal and a MACD golden cross. SOL has also been holding a higher-low structure above the $75 area.

.But there is one level that could decide the nepxt major move: $78.

Why $78 Matters

The $78–$78.70 region is currently acting as an important resistance zone. SOL has been approaching this area after recovering from its recent lows, but simply touching $78 is not enough.

What bulls need is a clean breakout followed by sustained trading above the level.

A successful reclaim could shift market sentiment from “relief bounce” toward “potential trend reversal.” Recent market analysis has identified $78 as the key barrier standing between SOL and a possible move toward $100.

🟢 Bullish Scenario

If SOL breaks above $78–$79 with strong volume and holds the area as support, the next levels to watch could be:

$85 — first confirmation zone
$90–$95 — stronger resistance area
$100 — major psychological target

A move toward $100 would represent a significant recovery from the current levels and could attract additional momentum traders.

🔴 Bearish Scenario

The biggest danger is a rejection around $78.

If SOL repeatedly fails to break resistance and falls back below the $75 area, the current recovery could turn into another lower-high formation.

A deeper breakdown would put the recent recovery structure under pressure and could bring lower support zones back into focus.

The Bigger Picture

The bullish signals are encouraging, but they don't automatically mean SOL has entered a new bull trend.

Earlier institutional research characterized SOL's broader 2026 price action as a corrective phase, with the market attempting to establish support rather than displaying a confirmed sustained uptrend.

At the same time, Solana's fundamental story remains significant. Fidelity's Solana research outlines a bull-case scenario in which more financial and real-world assets move onto permissionless networks, with Solana competing for that activity. However, it also highlights competitive, technical and reliability risks.

That creates an important distinction:

The fundamentals may remain strong, but the chart still needs confirmation.

🎯 What I'm Watching

$75 → short-term support

$78–$79 → breakout zone

$85 → first upside checkpoint

$90–$95 → major resistance

$100 → psychological target

For now, $78 is the line in the sand.

If SOL breaks and holds above it, the recovery story becomes much more convincing.

If it gets rejected again, patience ma$SOL y be more important than chasing the bounce.

Bottom line: Solana is showing buy signals, but the real test is still ahead. A confirmed $78 breakout could open the door toward $90–$100; failure at resistance could send SOL back into consolidation.
