Here's the mechanic: when the underlying company does a forward or reverse split, the Multiplier contract adjusts the displayed balance to reflect it — a 2-for-1 split roughly doubles your visible token count, a reverse split roughly halves it — without the raw smart-contract token count necessarily changing in lockstep. Same principle as how dividend reinvestment shows up: the number you see moving isn't always the number moving underneath.
