I've been poking around OpenGradient a bit. They're building this decentralized setup for running and verifying AI models on-chain, where the token actually gets used for paying for inferences, staking, and growing the ecosystem. Got solid backers and launched earlier this year on Base.
The token's been pretty volatile though — market cap around the mid 20s million, but you see these crazy volume spikes that are multiples of that. Down a lot from the initial highs, unlocks still flowing, typical early project chop. The idea feels relevant with everything going on in AI, but it's clearly not a sure thing yet.
Not shouting any big calls here. Just keeping an eye on whether the actual usage picks up and starts mattering for the price, or if it stays in that high-turnover narrative phase. Worth watching.
