. Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS):
AltLayer offers a service where developers can launch application-specific rollups (Layer 2 chains) easily, without building all infrastructure from scratch.
They support multiple rollup stacks (e.g., OP Stack, Arbitrum Orbit, Polygon CDK, ZKStack) and multiple data-availability / settlement / VM environments.
They supply what they call a “no-code dashboard” so even non-deep-technical teams can spin up a rollup with a few clicks.
2. “Restaked Rollups” concept:
AltLayer adds extra security, finality speed, and decentralisation via restaking mechanisms (leveraging protocols like EigenLayer) for the rollups they help deploy.
They have modular services they call AVSes (Actively Validated Services) with components named VITAL (verification), MACH (fast finality), SQUAD (sequencing) for rollups.
3. Strong backers & funding:
They raised around US$14.4 million in a strategic round co-led by Polychain Capital and Hack VC.
This kind of backing lends credibility (though not a guarantee of success).
Investors include multiple well-known names in crypto
