💥According to Bloomberg, several major Bitcoin holders are now transferring their coins into spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) through in-kind creations, turning off-exchange BTC into brokerage-account assets that can be borrowed against or included in estate planning. This shift follows the U.S. SEC’s July 29, 2025 policy update, which approved in-kind creations and redemptions for crypto-based ETFs—allowing participants to exchange the actual asset instead of cash. The SEC said the change aligns crypto ETFs with commodity ETP standards and improves efficiency and flexibility. Bloomberg reports that BlackRock has converted over $3 billion worth of Bitcoin this way, while Bitwise and Galaxy have also processed multiple transactions. Many investors prefer this method since it’s tax-neutral—no sale is recorded—and provides easier integration into traditional financial systems. Some clients are moving partial holdings, while others are consolidating entirely within ETFs for convenience and better access to traditional banking services.#BitcoinETFs #Crypto
