Before the conflict in Iran escalated, the United States allegedly kept Iran’s allied countries occupied with various issues in a calculated manner. Russia has been engaged through Ukraine. By maintaining control over Venezuela’s petroleum reserves, China has been kept under pressure so that it does not show interest in supporting any major conflict. Meanwhile, Kabul has been kept busy through Pakistan.

If Pakistan had not kept Afghanistan occupied, Afghanistan might have directly participated in the war in support of Iran. However, the United States appears to have anticipated this and used Pakistan accordingly. As a result, Iran is having to face the combined power of the US-Israel alliance alone on the battlefield.
