A crypto expert recently dismissed the possibility of XRP surpassing Ethereum, emphasizing significant differences in infrastructure and utility. This sparked a debate among enthusiasts.

Ansem, a notable crypto analyst, argued that Ethereum maintains its dominance due to its advanced smart contract capabilities, developer adoption, and its role in the Decentralized Finance (DeFi) and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) ecosystems. These strengths have solidified Ethereum's position as the second-largest cryptocurrency and the leading altcoin. Factors such as high staking participation, the gas fee model, and its role as a hub for Layer 2 scaling solutions further contribute to Ethereum's success in the Web3 space.

In contrast, $XRP primarily focuses on cross-border payments, which, while valuable, lack the diversity of use cases that drive Ethereum's growth. Despite Ripple's efforts to integrate XRP into traditional finance, Ansem believes this alone cannot challenge Ethereum’s dominance. He also suggested that the global banking integration of XRP was never truly feasible.

Opposing this view, another market expert, CrediBull Crypto, pointed out that XRP briefly surpassed Ethereum’s market capitalization during the 2018 bull run. However, Ethereum has since solidified its position as a key player in decentralized applications, bolstered by continuous upgrades and ecosystem developments.
