According to U.Today, Elon Musk, the founder of xAI and owner of the X platform, has issued a significant warning about the current direction of artificial intelligence (AI) development. Musk's concerns were raised in response to a recent interview with Katherine Maher, the CEO and president of National Public Radio (NPR) in the US. The interview segment that sparked Musk's comments was shared by Marc Andreessen, who has 1.2 million followers.

In the interview, Maher discusses the First Amendment in US legislation, which guarantees freedom of speech and the press. Maher appears to advocate for the removal of these protections to enable censorship of information published on various platforms. Andreessen tweeted that Maher and many others are now advocating for the censorship of what can be said or read online. He emphasized that this approach is now being applied to AI as well.

Musk agreed with Andreessen's sentiments, warning that this approach to AI training could pose a significant risk to human civilization. In a previous tweet, Musk criticized OpenAI and its product, ChatGPT, accusing them of potentially causing serious harm to humanity in the future by incorporating censorship and 'wokeness' into their programming. He tweeted, 'Super-powerful AI programmed in this way has severe civilization-level risk.'

The crypto community responded positively to Musk's tweet, praising Grok, an AI bot developed by Musk's company. Unlike other AI, Grok is being trained as a 'truthful AI' and is free from the issues Musk highlighted.
