According to PANews, Sam Altman's crypto project, Worldcoin, has announced the launch of World Chain, a new blockchain initiative aimed at prioritizing human users, improving efficiency, and promoting practical usability in Web3 applications. Tiago Sada, the operations manager of Worldcoin, stated that while technically, the behavior of World Chain is similar to any other L2 and Ethereum, its subtle difference lies in its prioritization of humans over robots, a factor that often causes congestion in blockchain due to robot activity. World Chain's solution attempts to address this issue by supporting transactions completed by verified World ID holders.

Furthermore, Sada explained how verified users would receive free Gas allowances, thereby minimizing friction for new users. The protocol aims to achieve a balance where robots and advanced users ultimately pay the Gas fees for temporary users. The network aligns with Ethereum and collaborates with projects like Optimism and Base. World Chain is expected to fully launch in the summer and will soon release a developer preview version.
