The company is planning to hire AI engineers 'soon', and its product team is currently outlining the AI workflow. NEAR will use near.ai to disclose AI information and is expected to make a public announcement in May.
NEAR is reportedly well-versed in AI expertise. Its founder, Illia Polosukhin, is an AI researcher and software engineer who has contributed to the construction of the 'Transformer' architecture. This architecture forms the basis of generative AI systems such as ChatGPT.
