The Diamond Hands Investor: Sleeping Like a Baby While Markets Burn
They say investing is like a rollercoaster—thrilling, heart-stopping, and occasionally vomit-inducing.
But for me?
It’s more like watching a slow-burning soap opera where the main character (my portfolio) refuses to die, no matter how many market crashes the scriptwriters throw at it.
With a total balance of $19,863.84, I’ve mastered the ancient art of doing absolutely nothing and letting time do the heavy lifting.
Sure, today’s PNL is a whopping -10.80% (-$2,399.99), but am I panicking?
Nope.
Because unless I actually sell, that loss is just a spooky bedtime story the market tells to weak hands before they tuck themselves in at night.
My strategy?
Long-term investing.
Buy, hold, and wait for history to repeat itself (because, spoiler alert: it always does).
My portfolio’s been to the depths of $9,884.2 and the peaks of $30,605.61, yet here I am—still standing, still holding, still refusing to engage in the financial equivalent of gambling: futures trading.
Futures?
No, thanks.
I prefer my sleep uninterrupted.
No sudden liquidation wake-up calls, no checking my phone at 3 AM to see if I’ve been margin-called into oblivion.
Just me, my spot holdings, and my $16,043.18 in Earn, working for me while I dream of a world where my investments moon and I retire early.
Market crashes come and go, but my diamond hands?
They’re here to stay.
