US MARKET — Strong Economy, Selective Selling

The latest US session delivered a mixed message.

The S&P 500 fell 0.3%, the Dow declined 0.3%, and the Nasdaq dropped 1.4% on October 29. Yet most stocks advanced, with 81% of S&P 500 constituents finishing higher.

This is an important distinction: weakness in large technology companies does not necessarily mean the entire market is breaking down.

I would become more constructive if technology shares regain lost levels and market breadth remains positive.
