🇵🇸 Gaza Death Toll Rises as Fighting and Arrests Continue

Health authorities in Gaza report that Israeli military operations over the past 48 hours have resulted in the deaths of six more Palestinians and injuries to 37 others. According to the latest figures released by Palestinian officials, the total number of people killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,317, while the number of wounded has risen to 173,961.

Palestinian authorities say ongoing ceasefire violations, the presence of missing persons trapped beneath rubble, and difficulties faced by rescue and humanitarian teams in reaching affected areas continue to worsen the humanitarian situation across the Gaza Strip.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club reports that more than 3,600 Palestinians have been arrested in the occupied West Bank since the beginning of 2026. The organization states that the number of Palestinians currently held in Israeli prisons has exceeded 9,400, including 3,244 detainees being held under administrative detention.

The casualty and detention figures cited above are based on data released by Palestinian health authorities and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club. Israel has disputed some casualty assessments throughout the conflict, and independent verification of all figures remains difficult due to ongoing hostilities and restrictions on access.
