An agent can only access funds you move into it, and only within the permissions, spend limits, and whitelists you set in the Binance appSecure by DesignBinance approaches agent safety through good product design, giving you straightforward controls over permissions, limits, and visibility. Users shouldn’t have to be security engineers and experts in order to use our product. The underlying framework is sophisticated, while the user controls are designed to be approachable for anyone who is comfortable configuring trading and wallet settings.We’ve built our toolkit so you can set clear boundaries without digging through lines of code. All security configurations for Agentic Wallet can only be changed in the Binance app. You also shouldn’t have to approve every single action for an agent to be useful. Once the agent is running, it operates within the limits you set, and you get visibility through a dashboard and push notifications whenever it moves assets.Set Boundaries Before the Agent Can ActWhen you activate Agentic Wallet in the Binance app, you set four core boundaries that define what the agent can do and where it can operate. These are enforced controls. If an action falls outside your settings, the agent cannot access it. Most of these safeguards are turned on by default. If you’re already experienced with using agents, you can loosen these settings at any time for more flexibility.Choose what the agent can doStart by choosing the action categories the agent can access through skill-level module toggles. If you only want the agent to read data, you can enable market data and disable everything else. If you want it to make transfers but not interact with DeFi, you can do that too. Disabled scenarios are inaccessible to the agent.Set a daily spend limitThere's no single overall cap: Dex Swap & Transfer, DeFi, x402, and Developer Mode each have their own 24-hour quota, configured separately and drawn from independently. A low limit on one won't affect the others, so it's worth setting each one deliberately. If you're new to agents, start at the lowest available limit for each. It gives you room to test real workflows without giving the agent too much spending power.Limit which tokens it can useA token whitelist is enabled by default. With it on, the agent can only operate on tokens you specify. If a token is not on the list, it is out of scope. Advanced users can turn the whitelist off, but the default is protection-on.Limit who it can send toRecipient restrictions are permanently enforced. Agents can only transfer to addresses in your whitelist address book, plus your own UID keyless wallet. You can manage the contents of the address book, but you cannot disable the restriction.Additional on-chain safeguardsUntrusted tokens are automatically screened for honeypot behavior and token tax rate. A tax rate above 5% triggers a warning, and above 10% is treated as high risk. If the audit service is unavailable, execution requires explicit user confirmation.Review and revoke EVM token approvals, so you reduce exposure from old approvals you no longer need or mitigate impact if a previously-approved approval is later compromised.MEV protection is enabled by default, which helps reduce the risk of third parties deliberately causing unfavorable execution on your swaps.Developer Mode: Extra Safeguards for Advanced PermissionsSome users may want their agents to sign externally constructed transactions, meaning raw transactions that are not limited to Binance’s official contracts.
