$BTC lost 3.3% in a day. $SOL lost 9%. NEAR lost 16.4%. Same market, very different damage, and today's board is a clean lesson in how Bitcoin drags everything else.

Most altcoins move like Bitcoin but bigger. Traders call this beta. When BTC falls, money leaves the riskier coins first and faster, because those are the positions people cut when they get nervous. Look at the majors: BTC -3.3%, ETH -5.7%, BNB -6.4%, SOL -9%. The further you go from Bitcoin, the bigger the drop.

Then there are coins that break the link. $OGN is up 107.7% today and RLC is up 40.1% while BTC sits at 80,566. When a coin rises against a red market, it is almost always moving on its own story, not on the market. That can be real, but it is also fragile, because once the story fades the coin often snaps back to following BTC.

BTC itself is now only 0.2% above its weekly low of 80,394, with hourly RSI at 23.4, deep in oversold territory.

The practical takeaway: before buying any altcoin, check what BTC is doing. If BTC is breaking a key level, most altcoins will fall harder, and the rare one that rises is trading on news that can disappear just as fast.
