October is set to be a significant month for the DeFi and BRC-20 sectors, as major projects like Axie Infinity, Optimism, and Aptos prepare for substantial token releases. The three projects will collectively release over $130 million into the market, with Axie Infinity seeing the largest increase in its AXS token circulating supply at 11.5%.

Axie Infinity will release 15.1 million AXS tokens on October 20, valued at approximately $71.8 million. The distribution will primarily benefit the project's team, staking rewards, play-to-earn incentives, an ecosystem fund, and advisors.

Optimism will unlock 24.2 million OP tokens on October 30, equivalent to 3% of its circulating supply and valued at $35.3 million. Core contributors and investors will be the main beneficiaries of this release. The OP token has shown resilience following previous unlocks, with its price increasing by 8% after the September 30 unlock.

Aptos will release 4.5 million APT tokens on October 12, equivalent to 1.91% of its circulating supply and valued at approximately $26 million. The community will receive the majority of these tokens, with the Aptos Foundation also benefiting. The APT token's price has risen by over 7% in just one week since its September unlocks.

Other significant ventures releasing tokens in October include ApeCoin, Sui, ImmutableX, and dYdX. In November, Avalanche is preparing for a token unlock, with approximately $93.5 million of AVAX tokens set to be released on November 24.
