The SpaceX IPO is done. The largest listing in history is now trading.

So, now what?

Now comes the hardest part for most investors. You do nothing.

The rocket launched. The Good Chart has not. And it can't yet. There is no trend, no support, no base. Just one day of price on a chart that needs months of it.

Here's what the disciplined investor does from here. He watches. He waits for the IPO base to form.

Remember what that looks like:
– A consolidation in the first year or two after listing
– A tight range, often just 5 to 7 weeks
– A clear resistance line across the top
– Volume drying up as sellers get exhausted
– Then a breakout above that line on volume 40% or more above average

That breakout is the entry. Not today. Not the opening bell. Often three to twenty weeks from now, once the euphoria burns off and the float changes hands.

ServiceNow made you wait weeks before its base broke out, then ran more than 30x. Palantir made you wait, then ran from the low teens to over $40. The patience wasn't the cost. The patience was the edge.

So mark today on the calendar and put SpaceX on the watchlist.

The IPO was the seller's day.

The base will be the buyer's.

Until then, the only correct position is patience.
