The reality is far less absurd:

Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro while trying to flee using forged passports.

No credible outlets like Reuters, Bloomberg, or the BBC ever reported anything about hidden wallets or bizarre body searches.

The viral images and claims were edited satire, born out of bear-market chaos.

After extradition to the U.S., Do Kwon pleaded guilty to fraud related to the ~$40B Terra/Luna collapse and was sentenced to 15 years in prison this month (December 2025).
