The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has approved the acquisition of German company Delivery Hero, owner of the Glovo service, by American firm $UBER in a deal valued at $14.8 billion.
Under the terms of the transaction, $UBER offered €41.5 per share for Delivery Hero. Glovo operations in Ukraine and 10 other countries will come under $UBER control. Meanwhile, Glovo assets in Poland, Romania, Moldova, Spain, and Portugal will be acquired by investment firm SSW Partners.
Following the completion of the deal, $UBER will operate across 99 markets worldwide.
